The Preparedness Blanket series embodies the dual and divergent pulls to build a home and to continue moving. Textiles are a material that are at once intimate and functional. They permeate our domestic space and wrap around our bodies. Even in abstraction, found fabrics recall human interaction and use. These moving blanket quilts provide warmth but also exist with an ellipsis, ready to act as protection in the next uprooting.
